Prof Sileshi Melesse is an Associate Professor in School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. He holds three MSc degrees in different areas of Statistics and a PhD in Statistics from UKZN. He has more than 20 years teaching experience of which ten years are at UKZN.
His publications cover issues related to Nonlinear Mixed Models, Additive Mixed Models , Spatial Modeling , Survival Analysis with multiple events and Path Modelling. He has had over 35 articles published on accredited journals.
His current research interests spin around areas of, longitudinal data analysis, Structural Equation modelling, linear and nonlinear mixed models.
